形容词comfortable后接现在分词和介词的有关用法
首先要说明的是，句中的现在分词可理解为时间状语，可视为在其前省略了when或while。句意为：他坐在冰冷的椅子上感到不舒服。又如：
Carole says she’s not comfortable lying flat. 卡萝尔说她平躺着不舒服。
She felt more comfortable talking in her native tongue. 她说母语感觉更放松。
另外，comfortable的反义词uncomfortable也有类似用法。如下面一句摘自《柯林斯高级英语词典》：
I feel uncomfortable lying. 说谎时我觉得很不安。
另外，不能视为在现在分词前省略了about或with。因为be comfortable about / with 有其特殊用法：
——comfortable about 对……感到轻松或无忧虑
They didn’t feel comfortable about her travelling alone. 他们对她独自旅游感到担忧。
Lots of people don't feel comfortable about public speaking. 许多人对当众讲话感到不自在。
——comfortable with sb 和某人相处感觉自在
I don’t feel comfortable with him. 和他相处我感到不自在。
She’s never felt very comfortable with them. 她和他们在一起从来都觉得不自在。
——comfortable with sth 对某事轻松接受
Is everyone comfortable with the arrangement? 这样的安排大家都满意吗？
Few of us are comfortable with confrontations. 我们中几乎没有人能轻松面对公然反对。
另外，comfortable的反义词uncomfortable也有类似用法。如：
